Chaos is everywhere. People create weapons in order to protect their country and win every war. It’s either they kill their enemies or they get killed by their enemies. Weapons that involved deadly microorganisms such as viruses, or more commonly known as biological warfare is one of the most horrifying weapons crafted by mankind. A virus aimed to destroy the human race can be released in the atmosphere to generate an attack that will leave any country defenseless. Understanding that pandemic will cause drastic changes in our lives will trigger alertness and make the right choices to save the human species from becoming extinct. A rapidly spreading virus can debilitate a considerable portion, if not completely wiping out the entire population. It can be a worldwide outbreak especially if the virus can transfer from one person to another.
The only way to survive a rapidly spreading virus is to isolate yourself stay away from infected people. Stay only with your healthy group and change your daily routine completely. If you don’t realize the seriousness of the situation and still decide to stay outside to go to work and run errands, the risk of exposing yourself is high. Isolating yourself to remain uninfected is not an easy thing to do. The challenge arises in identifying the healthy individuals from infected ones. However, we should also make an assumption that there is a chance that we will need to go outside and be exposed so preparing for the worst is necessary.
Some contagious viral diseases have incubation period wherein an infected person has no outward signs or manifested symptoms. Once you identified the uninfected group of people, make sure you interact only with them. If one of them is suspected to have contracted the disease, you need to put him in quarantine to prevent the disease from spreading.
In case of spread of deadly virus or pandemic, make sure you have constant supply of potable drinking water. This is very important as tap water might contain the virus that can infect the whole household. Make sure you have enough food to last for weeks or even months. It is also ideal to store some liquid bleach to disinfect your household and decrease the chance of the virus from spreading. Wear antimicrobial mask to at least protect yourself from airborne virus. Convert one room to an isolation room in case it will be needed. Duct tapes, laundry and dishwashing soap, antimicrobial soap, alcohol, paper towels, toilet paper, and plastic bags will be helpful.
It might also be helpful to take flu and pneumonia shots as these two are secondary infections that may arise from a primary infection. Having these vaccines can boost your immune system and fight off infection. Take a necessary dose of antiviral medications as prescribed by the government. Remember to take these drugs before the infection or immediately after showing symptoms of the infection. Viruses can undergo mutation so follow and take the anti-viral drugs religiously.
